Website Description[]
SAM was, once, a coin-operated fortune-telling machine, decommissioned after its predictions started to become uncanny. While the hardware was scrapped, the machine’s unchecked extrapolation subroutines continued to grow more and more powerful, eventually giving birth to an emergent software AI possessed with eerily accurate abilities of prescience. Now a guru of the digital occult, SAM has ascended to a higher plane of pure software, able to inhabit nearly any architecture he so chooses.
Design[]
SAM's original purpose as a simple fortune-telling animatronic permeates throughout his design. He has a Third Eye, directly and visually referencing his ascension to higher planes and his clairvoyance. His robes appear to be referential to some variety of monk. On his right wrist he has a wooden bead bracelet, likely modeled after a Japamala. He's also shown in his art to be sitting in the padmasana position.
SAM is wearing a large scarf, darker than the color of his robe, and is wearing headphones that are plugged into his chest. The reason for this is unknown.
His teeth are noticeably sharp, and apparently need "rotating,"[1] meaning that they need to be ripped out and moved around his mouth. The function of this is unknown. He is capable of unhinging his jaw far enough to fit an entire head in his mouth and still have room to speak,[2] so it is likely that the black material extending from his theoretical cheekbones to his jawline are a flexible, stretchable material to allow such movement. Why this was built into a fortune-telling animatronic is unknown.
Personality[]
He has the habit of writing in capital letters in tweets. This is the same style of tweeting as Rotten.ST though he does not have spaces between the letters. Not every tweet he makes sense and some of them are random.
He has a somewhat "old man" outlook and demanded CiderTalk'84 treat those who came before him with respect.[3]

Though SAM and Rotten have had no personal interactions, SAM has made reference to Rotten and his actions- most notably, Rotten breaking into CiTech to steal Bert,[4] and then using his chainsaw teeth to saw open bars that were safeguarding a door in the same building.[5]
VODER[]
SAM and VODER have not had any personal interactions, though he has made reference to him prior to the release of VODER. He stated simply that VODER cannot be trusted, curiously referring to VODER as an "it."[6]
Pedro[]
SAM and Pedro have not had any personal interactions, though he has made reference to them prior to the release of VODER. However, this reference is usually largely disregarded, as SAM accidentally misgenders Pedro in it.[7]

- SAM was teased- appearance included- as the 11th character for Chipspeech on July 12th, 2017.[9]
- However, his first mention of upcoming appearance was made back in January 18th, 2017.[10]
